WHO WE ARE


Established in 1987, TriCoast began as the production arm to the public company Mediacom Industries. Founded by Strath Hamilton and Marcy Levitas,TriCoast has been in continuous production for over 25 years, producing over 23 feature films, 4 emmy nominated TV movies, 2 TV Pilots turned series--one of which became the biggest selling TV series of all time: THE MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS. TriCoast has also produced 18 best selling special interest craft DVDs with revenues in the millions, and over 500 coming attractions movie trailers including campaigns for Oscar winners TITANIC and CRASH.

The studio facility located in Culver City, California also maintains a full-service post production facility, with state of the art cameras, editing equipment, VFX, and a 5.1 sound mixing and recording studio. With a team of award winning digital effects specialists on staff, the studio has completed digital visual effects work for Lionsgate, Sony, Universal/Vivendi, and Magnolia Pictures.

In 2008 TriCoast principals established sister company, TriCoast Worldwide, for international distribution of both their own films and films acquired from independent Producers. Headed by one of the industrys top ranking sales executives, Priscilla Ross, TriCoast Worldwide currently has over 20 films and 2 TV series in Distribution around the world. The executives of TriCoast Worldwide have established long term business relationships and vendor numbers with major domestic and international broadcasters and licensees.

Marcy Levitas Hamilton - CEO

 

In addition to acting as CEO of TriCoast Studios/Worldwide, Marcy Levitas Hamilton is also a film producer, an elected Member and judge for the honorary society, and an emmy award winning editor (A.C.E.). Prior to running the production and distribution companies of TriCoast, Marcy edited for Oscar-winning producer/directors William Friedkin, Dino DeLaurentiis and James Brooks. She was also part of the creative teams that founded MTV and Qube interactive TV for Warner Bros. A secret tech-geek at heart, Marcy is also the co-inventor of a pioneering technology that deals with language translation on screen. After assembling a team of NASA technologists to build the hardware, Marcy received a US Patent for her innovations, Patent 6778252.

In 2001 Marcy partnered with Time Warner company Leisure Arts to create and produce a line of 15 Special Interest DVDs on Craft with innovative indexing DVD technology developed at TriCoast. In 2011 Marcy produced feature film “Smitty” starring Academy Award winners Mira Sorvino, Lou Gossett Jr and Peter Fonda. As an acting CEO of Tricoast Studios/Worldwide, Marcy supervises all phases of feature film development, production, post-production and distribution. Marcy holds a BA with Honors in Media and Communications from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri

 

Martin Wiley

 

Martin Wiley is a production executive and producer of filmed entertainment and new media with 20 years of experience. Wiley has overseen development and physical production of major independent and studio product and structured financing and distribution with major studios, foreign sales companies and equity investors in the US, Japan, Canada and Australia for over two dozen motion picture and television projects. Wiley developed and/or produced motion pictures such as Lazarus Project for Sony Pictures, Tamara for Lions Gate, Madison for MGM, Under Siege 2 for Warner Brothers and Varsity Blues for Paramount Pictures. Wiley was also active in the creative development of Nurse Betty, American History X, The Cooler andother studio and independent films.

 

Joel Eisenberg

 

Joel Eisenberg, our Vice President of Creative Affairs, is also  President of EMO Films, LLC, a feature film development and production company. For EMO Films, Joel is presently prepping a new television version of "Tales from the Crypt," along with a biographical feature of William Gaines, one of the pioneers of the comic book industry, with director John Landis. He has two films set to lense in 2011 - "Forget Me Not," an Alzheimer's tale, and "Hellview," a horror film. Joel's 2009 film, "April Showers," following its theatrical run and DVD  release, airs on U.S. VOD platform via Warner Brothers.

Joel is an entrepreneur, a writer and teacher. He has authored books, written or financed full-length features, and worked with PBS in local and national program drives. In 2004, Joel discovered, identified and archived a substantial lot of original handwritten John Steinbeck materials, referred to by one noted historian as "among the most important literary finds of the century."

 

Daisy Hamilton

 

Since 2007, Daisy Sydney Hamilton has spearheaded business development for TriCoast Studios and all subsidiary companies. After joining the TriCoast team in 2004 as production assistant, Daisy has worked her way up to head of business development under the tutelage of Martin Wiley, and Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from New York University’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, Daisy spent time in New York’s corporate world where she was mentored by several CEO’s through NYU’s alumni program.

Daisy has raised significant amounts of financing on various projects  for TriCoast, and has also developed strategic partnerships with some of the leading companies in the industry. Daisy also attends all major film festivals around the world where she furthers international enterprises on the studios behalf. Also an entrepreneur, Daisy is raising capital and aiding in the development of a major tech start up, The Film Language Process. With her highly ambitious, enthusiastic, and resourceful attitude, Daisy is learning how to build empires brick by brick. Outside of the business world, Daisy has a high level of expertise in the fields of Ancient Greek, Cognitive Neuroscience,  and Creative Writing. In addition to receiving many awards for her scholarly endeavors she has also helped develop a book alongside a team of leading cognitive neuroscientists.

 

Shannon Gardner

 

Shannon Gardner brings over 12 years experience as a feature-film,behind-the-scenes, documentary, and commercial content producer.  He hasmounted several independently financed productions, acting in creative, technical and senior business managerial capacities. Shannon has supervised the productions from fundraising through delivery for worldwide distribution. Feature films include: TOUCHBACK (2012) starring Kurt Russell and Melanie Lynskey; ONCE FALLEN (2010) starring Ed Harris, Taraji Henson; HUMBLE PIE (2009) starring William Baldwin, Hubble Palmer, Kathleen Quinlan, and Mary Lynn Rajskub.

Shannon's Telly award-winning documentary, "Brothers in Arms", was released as a special DVD supplement to Lions Gate Film’s feature, LORD OF WAR starring Nicholas Cage. He earned a second Telly award for a 3D commercial spot produced for 3DHD televisions, mobile devices and tablets featuring athletic tricks performed on the Razor Ultra Pro in 2011. Shannon is a graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Cinema-Television.
